Mission Statement The mission of Edwin Gould Academy (EGA) is to provide young people who have aged out of the foster care and the family court systems with access to services, programs and community supports that will empower them to live as purposeful, responsible and self-sufficient adults. Included among this population are those for whom EGA serves as an alternative to the juvenile justice system and a proven gateway to the most effective treatment and social services.
Our Vision for the Future The EGA Multi-Service Center & Residence is the first stand-alone building in the country, complete with a multi-service center, built solely to address the needs of homeless young adults who have exited the foster care and family court systems. Our vision for the future is focused upon the premise that the development of young people into purposeful adults begins by creating an environment rich in opportunities for them to resolve the assortment of challenges they face. |
