The mission of Edwin Gould Academy (EGA) is to provide young people who have aged out of the foster care and/or juvenile justice systems with access to services, programs, and community supports that will empower them to become creative, caring, purposeful, responsible, and self-sufficient adults.

EGA’s Multi-Service Center and Residence is the first stand-alone building in the country, complete with a multi-service center, built solely to address the housing and human needs of homeless young adults who have exited the foster care and juvenile justice systems. It is our hope that the success of our participants will demonstrate to the community that helping young people to become purposeful adults begins by creating opportunities that resolve the unique challenges they face in their adulthood.
